The Blessing Stands
In Genesis 39:2
The Lord was with Joseph, there in the home of his master, so that everything he did succeeded.
David speaks of God’s protection in the 23rd Psalm that even in the midst of our enemy, God has restored our soul.
God gave Joseph a dream when he was a teenager, that one day he would lead a nation and people would bow down before him.
When he shared this dream with his family, it made them very upset. They scolded, mocked and belittled him. This did not discourage him, he held onto his dream.
The devil’s tool of discouragement did not work, so he used betrayal. Have you ever been betrayed before? That’s what happened to Joseph! One day, he was betrayed by his brothers, taken to Egypt, and sold as a slave to a high-ranking official named Potiphar.
This wasn’t part of his childhood dream; things were getting from bad to worse!!!
What about our childhood dreams? It’s time to dream again. Joseph could have been bitter and complained, “God, I thought Your blessing was on my life. I thought you said I would do great things.”
Instead he kept being his best, doing more than required, and the blessings of God continued to flow.
Notice that God was with Joseph in the unfair situation. The blessing was still on his life so that everything Joseph touched prospered.
Sometimes we think we’re not blessed when something goes wrong, when our childhood dreams are smashed, when we make bad choices, when we’re falsely accused and all hell is breaking loose around us.
The devil cannot stop God's blessings. People can’t take away the favor of God. Those disappointments don't cancel out your blessing.
The setbacks are not the end; they are a setup for what God is about to do.
Don’t get sour when life is unfair. God’s blessing is still on you. It’s time to shout and rejoice for God’s goodness and favor in the midst of our circumstance. We are coming out more than victorious, more than overcomers!!!
Thank you, Father for Your favor and presence, in my life and no situation no person, no powers can separate us. Thank You for the blessing that is on my career, on my property, my health and my life, on my family. I believe that I am blessed to be a blessing because I am Your child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
