Intercession – James 5:14-16 Neh. 1:6 - Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. Note: This is the 3. Petition – Prov. 20:24 - Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way? Prov. 21:2 - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Phil. 2:13 - For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 4. Thanks – 5. Praise – 6. Worship – Psa. 100:4 – Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Note: The person praying may commune to God about his wants or his needs (health, safety, well-being, etc.), recognizing and acknowledging his inferior position and God’s superior position
